If some shady organization wants to make a bunch of Mrs. S clones, I’d be A-OK with that.

Also a plus: Maria Doyle Kennedy, as the foster mother of Sarah and Felix who is now taking care of Sarah’s daughter. She was the best thing about “The Tudors,” as Catherine of Aragon, and with a few scenes she was indelible as the first Mrs. Bates on “Downton Abbey.” She serves as an anchor for many of the characters in “Orphan Black,” and, in a sense, the entire show that swirls around her.

liona5:

→ A collection of Henry’s tantrum scenes (x)

Ugh, this scene. Love/hate this scene. It’s one of the most depressing scenes in the show, and yet Katherine looks so beautiful in it. There is so much anger/hurt/sorrow in her voice earlier when she says to Henry, “Have you no kind things to say? To your wife, the mother of your child! You treat me so unkindly and in public neglect me.” And you can see (and feel) her struggling to keep her composure. The tension in the room is palpable. First time I saw this scene, I wanted to reach through the television screen and smack Henry upside the head for speaking to her in such a vile manner. That anger quickly turns to heartbreak when the camera goes back to Katherine. The devastation in her eyes is unmistakable. It’s like in that instance, she truly sees that their marriage is over. It all comes crashing down, because for Henry, “That’s not the point!” is his way of saying “The point is this is all your fault, because YOU failed to give me a son! The point is I don’t love you any more!” Absolutely brilliant performance by Maria Doyle Kennedy. God save the queen!

please don’t cry…

Katherine’s sorrow is as heartbreaking as it is beautiful. That 1st GIF is a surefire trigger for the waterworks.
